The District formed a Domestic and Family Violence Committee to raise awareness and advocate against domestic and family violence. Also started a Respectful Relationship Campaign to support victims of DFV.
Key activities:
- Educational Scholarship Scheme:
- Safe Hands Bursaries for purchase of education items and service for child recipient victims of DFV
- Strong Arms Scholarships for adults for payment of fees to study at TAFE and universityย
- Grants:ย Received the Ku-ring-gai Council DFV grant in October for $20,000 to our Educational Scholarship Scheme
- Community Walks: Late November to early December 2025 is the UN 16 Days of Activism Campaign when we conduct peaceful walks in Sydney Localities โ Northern Beaches, Hornsby, Parramatta, Norwest, Maryโs House, Ryde, Penrith, Central Coast, Ballina
- Apron Project (new): To be launched for International Womenโs Day High Tea in 2026
- Education Webinar (2026):ย Theme โBreaking the Silenceโ on child welfare and mental health in DFV
Mosman Rotary Club Initiatives
Mosman Rotary Club has been engaged in numerous activities supporting victims of Domestic and Family Violence over the years. Mosman Rotary Community Director (Rabinderpal Gill) is on the District Domestic & Family Violence Committee which is engaged in DFV activities across NSW.

- ย ESCABags Initiative: Engaging as an official Escabags Stockist, our Club will play a vital role in supporting individuals and families escaping domestic and family abuse by providing immediate access to free, thoughtfully prepared โEscape Bagsโ.
