Thanks to the great work of our Membership Director, Di McKenzie-Rabu and our public image success the club continues to grow its membership. Our newest member is Claudia Zines.
Claudia is pictured here with Di (L), President Elect Pali Gill and District Governor Michele Ellery (R) who was present for the induction. The induction ceremony welcomes each new member to the club’s fellowship, outlines their responsibilities and concludes with the pinning of an official Rotary badge.
It was great to have Michele take part in the induction ceremony. She noted that Mosman is successful because we bring ideas to fruition. We cover several bases – local service, international impact, fellowship, youth and community – and we are thriving because we know our community and for 65 years we have adapted to different needs. The average period of membership is 13 years, although several current members have been in the club for much longer than that.
Michele’s focus for 26/27 is People, Growth and Impact. She has made several changes, such as making the District awards and recognition personal, rather than club shields.
The 2027 District Conference in Mudgee features social events as well as inspiring speakers. You can see more details about the District Conference here.
Michele thanked the club for the opportunity to visit, and looks forward to staying connected as we continue our Rotary journey together.
