On Wednesday April 16, Mosman Rotary Presidents Ruth and Halyna attended the official opening of the new Coles store in Neutral Bay. The new store is located in the Mosman Rotary District. Coles is assisting the work of our club via fundraising, in what we hope will be a mutually beneficial long term partnership.
The transformation of the Grosvenor Street site with a revitalized Supermarket and Liquorland has created significant employment opportunities, with Coles hiring 145 new team members, many of whom will be entering the workforce for the first time, reinforcing Coles’ commitment to supporting career growth and development within the community.
Coles raised $1600 at a Bunnings BBQ, and they added another $1000, resulting in a cheque for $2,600 being presented to Mosman Rotary by Coles Neutral Bay Manager, Trent Curtis. These funds will support Rotary’s work with Mary’s House, a not-for-profit organisation which provides crisis accommodation for women and their dependent children escaping domestic violence. It is an independently-operated, non-denominational facility located on Sydney’s North Shore. As a non-Government facility Mary’s House relies on support from Rotary and other community groups to fulfil its principle: “in all things to love and serve”.
