The regular market has been in abeyance for a few months to enable the Mosman Square area to be refurbished. The updated area was officially opened by Stephen Ball MP and Mayor Carolyn Corrigan with Federal MP Zali Steggall and State MP Felicity Wilson.
A good opportunity for Ross and Therese supported by Di and Dom to sell a few more Jigsaws. We also welcomed John Cheeseman from the Mosman Historical Society who sold copies of their latest book.
Ross provided a brief report on the day:
- The new stand is fabulous. Distinctive , colourful . Easy to put up and pull down. Thanks Dave.
- I mentioned that with this new market , there could be some chaos. There was and unfortunately because of double booking by the Council , we and a number of other stands ended up in a less than ideal position. Will be taking this up with the Council.
- We sold 5 jigsaw puzzles .
- It was good sharing our stand with the Historical Society . Brought in extra traffic for both parties. They sold 7 of their books .
- It was good promotion for Rotary – Mayor ,Councillors , Members of parliament , all there . We distributed brochures on Rotary , Soiree etc
