Conversations with Nature reveals multi-award-winning artist Erika Beck’s unreserved captivation with Australia’s enormous and diversified landscapes. The coastlines of NSW, the windswept erosions of Kangaroo Island, the isolation of the Kimberley, the dryness of the outback as well as the charmingly preserved parklands of Sydney are the unending drivers of Beck’s inspiration. In her highly expressive and gestural artwork, Beck captures the essence of the Australian landscape resulting from her countless painting trips to beloved places. Her work is characterised by vibrant use of colours and expressive composition, consequently unveiling Beck’s delicate response to natural lighting. With a career spanning 40 years, she continues to imbue her work with an instinctive energy whilst evoking a dream-like and playful quality.

“Living in Sydney offers a multitude of inspirations. Spectacular coastlines, incredible harbours, pristine national parks plus the superbly designed urban areas, make Sydney a dream place to live for any landscape artist like myself. I ensure my art speaks for itself.” – Erika Beck

To be opened by Dr. Erik W. Aslaksen FRSN, engineer, physicist and independent researcher.

All members and partners are invited to the opening of the exhibition – 3-5pm Saturday 19th August.
