Blast from the past – Cranleigh Rotary Club

PP Rob Sturrock has rescued the numerous Flags we received from visitors to our club. A fine example is the flag from the Rotary Club of Cranleigh England. It’s been going now for over 50 years and according to its website:

Cranleigh Rotary is part of a national and international organisation whose primary aim is to offer a wide range of social, educational and financial support to local and other communities and organisations.

Over the past 50 years we have arranged many fund-raising and entertaining events, such as street collections to help Ukraine, for example, and ever-popular quiz competitions in the Village Hall.

We meet twice a month, usually on a Thursday evening, for both a pleasant dinner and entertainment by a variety of interesting guest speakers, or we might play skittles or petanque, or simply engage in pleasant banter.
