President Mark raised over $6000 for Cancer Council by performing at the Northern Beaches “Dances with the Stars” on Saturday 24th June. The night was the culmination of hours of hard work and practice with his teacher/partner.
|
|
|
Several members of our club were there to support Mark. Very pleasing to see that PP Dom was present - a sign of his continuing recovery from a bout of serious operations.
|
|
|
No doubt we will get a full report at our next meeting - not to be missed.
|
|
|
|
|
|
|
|
Our club’s practice has always been to support the Rotary Foundation as much as possible and then to seek support from the Foundation for both International and Local projects. Over the years we have received significant Foundation grants.
|
For 2023-24 the board has decided to make financial support available to Marys House - a local provider of services to domestic violence victims. This is in line with other support we have given Marys House over the last 2 years and with the incoming DG’s emphasis on ending domestic violence.
|
The application is for a District Grant of $2500 which together with $2500 from our club’s project fund will provides $5000 to Marys House shortly after the beginning of the 2023-24 year.
|

|
|
|
|
|
Our club’s changeover dinner is the opportunity for members to acknowledge the hard work done by President Mark and his board over the year as well as welcoming PE James as our new President for the 2023-24 Rotary year. With PE James already committed to an extensive overseas trip the dinner is to be held later than usual on Friday 28th July.
|
