A message from PDG Danny:
Angeline and I arrived in Manila on 8thAugust 2023 . Post Covid we are resuming our annual visit and restarting our donation of WFKs wheelchairs (.shipped last year funded 50% by our Rotary Club of Mosman- freight charges)
We also took 100 pairs of recycled hearing aids from Australia to be donated to many here with impaired hearing. We carry a Max Sky Hydrant for a clean water project for Disaster Aid Australia- long box in photo as well
We are spending most of our visit in Manila and Mindanao

We are collecting your old smartphone handsets and chargers for Sri Lanka's underprivileged families throughout August and September.
|
The Kathleen Keegel Children's Fund (KKCF) is an Australian-based charitable organization working to help the underprivileged in Sri Lanka.
|
Their vision is to promote the welfare of the poor and to relieve distress, suffering and poverty. Since 2004, they have helped many with education including an Agricultural Training Project and a Preschool. In addition, they managed a Children's Home, which cared for 45 children over 10 years along with helping many who have approached them for financial assistance.
KKCF are seeking donations of preloved mobile phones to send to Sri Lanka in the coming months. These have become essential for children to study as IT is a part of their school curriculum and Students are disadvantaged without them.
|
Your donation of used mobile phones will help underprivileged children in Sri Lanka with their online studies and will be greatly appreciated. The families can't afford to buy phones for everyone and usually share one phone amongst themselves.
