Clean Up Australia Day on Sunday at Chinaman’s/Rosherville Reserve

Like previous years, Mosman Rotarian Clare Stockdale is supervising Clean Up Australia Day this Sunday at Chinaman’s/Rosherville Reserve from 9 am to 12 noon. Another Mosman Rotarian Seymour is helping set up as he does every year.

One of the focuses this year is discarded face masks which should be put into bins. We’re counting how many we find.

Please speak to Clare if you would like to join her on the day.

Rotary District 9685 eNews 3rd March 2022

District Governor's eNews 3rd March 2022 (Mar 01, 2022) (rotarydistrict9685.org.au)

DISTRICT GOVERNOR'S MESSAGE

March is Water and Sanitation month, and the irony is not lost as we consider all of those right now severely impacted by significant flooding.

The Rotary Foundation does make available a Disaster Response Grant of US$25,000 to districts that have had a major disaster in their area. It’s a quick approval, available to the District Governor but limited by the funds donated to this specific TRF fund. Other disaster support is facilitated by ShelterBox and RAWCS who have just opened a National Flood Appeal to support those impacted not only in Queensland and northern NSW but across the country.
