WE'RE WALKING 28KM FOR PEOPLE SLEEPING ROUGH ON OUR STREETS
|
Over the week of Saturday 1 October to Friday 7 October, we will be walking 28km for the Wayside Chapel's Long Walk Home.
The distance set is based on the fact that in an average week a person sleeping rough on our streets on average walks 28km to find shelter or a safe place to sleep.
We would be delighted if you would like to support us - you can make a donation through the Mosman Cruise Centre team at this fundraising page (below). https://www.longwalkhome.com.au/fundraisers/martinfallows
We will be walking some of the fabulous tracks around Sydney - mainly the Bondi to Manly walk - backwards!! We walked for the Wayside last year and the year before and as we love to walk it is a fabulous way to raise money to help the Wayside Chapel deliver love, support and assistance to those in crisis.
|
If you feel like walking with us please contact us. The days we plan to walk are Sunday 2 October, Monday 3 October and Thursday 6 October.

Or speak to one of committee members to book your seats. This is an excellent opportunity to include family and friends in a Rotary event. All funds will be used to support ongoing visits to Vietnam by Dr Peter Scougall and colleagues from
the Hand Surgery Unit of Sydney Hospital. During the visits to Vietnam Dr Scougall’s team conducts a series of workshops to teach the intricacies of hand surgery to local surgeons.
