CHANGE OF VENUE FOR OUR SOCIAL DINNER ON FRIDAY 5 APRIL!

Dear Members, Families and Friends,

After some deliberation it has been decided to change our venue for the Social Dinner on Friday 5 April to ATTENTIVE THAI FUSION, which has a more extensive and less expensive menu and offers more flexibility with our group booking than the restaurant first selected.

In summary:
  • New Venue ATTENTIVE THAI FUSION 541 Military Rd (formerly Thai Kanteen)
  • BYO wine only.
  • 6.30pm on Friday 5 April.
We hope that you will join us for a relaxed dinner – please confirm your attendance with PP Di who is liaising direct with Gina at Attentive Thai Fusion. We need to advise final numbers by Wednesday 3 April.

Thanks

PP Di

ONELAND DELIVERY TO BREWARRINA NSW

Following on from the presentation on ONELAND a few weeks ago and our donation to help with transport costsPP Di has submitted the following:

Susie Agoston , ONELAND, is a Mosman resident who co-ordinates deliveries of goods to the remote community of Brewarrina NSW.

Pictured here is PP Di with Susie (second from right) and fellow volunteers loading the main truck, leaving Mosman Monday 25 March for Brewarrina.

A huge thankyou to PDG Danny Low who donated ride-on toys, other toys, water bottles and a wheelchair, together with more toys, childrens and men’s clothing, and sports shoes collected by PP Di from friends and neighbours.

We also thank former fellow Rotarian Joan Groth for storing excess goods for three weeks until a second truck returns to Brewarrina.

Congratulations Susie on achieving such a tremendous response from our community and the opportunity to give back!

To help contribute to raising funds for the truck hire ( and extra van hire ! ) and fuel costs for this Goodwill journey, we are holding a charity gift stall at Top Tune tomorrow.

If anyone is looking for beautifully Aboriginal Designed Art Greeting Cards, or gift soaps, quality teatowels or spectacular non-iron tablecloths, all to support a good cause as well as supporting Aboriginal artists in remote communities, please send them our way tomorrow.
We’ll be set up from 7am - 1pm

Kind regards
Susie
