Monday’s Speaker - Ian Mutton, The Sydney Harbour High Line

Ian will be speaking about the proposed Sydney Harbour High Line.
  • In 2016 the residents of Lavender Bay proposed a long-term plan which envisaged joint use of the train line between Lavender Bay and Waverton. The Sydney Harbour HighLine (SHHL) to comprise a walking path alongside a train line.
  • In June 2016 North Sydney’s Federal and State members of Parliament offered their full support to the creation of the SHHL.
The Sydney Harbour HighLine
  • is 3.3km long;
  • runs through a 310 metre tunnel;
  • ends in a harbour fronting 2 hectare parkland;
  • passes and will link:
  • Ball’s Head Reserve (and the coal loader),
  • Waverton Park,
  • Sawmillers Reserve,
  • Wendy’s “Secret” Garden,
  • Lavender Bay Parklands
  • Harry’s Park
  • Luna Park,
  • the Olympic Pool and
  • the Harbour Bridge

Winners are grinners - Xmas Raffle

Our Christmas Raffle prize winners pictured here –

1st Prize - Coral from Mosman has ‘never won a thing in her life’ and was absolutely delighted to receive her original painting by artist Erika Beck, which will suit her apartment beautifully.

2nd Prize – Brigitte from Cremorne Point had recently visited the Ken Done Gallery in The Rocks and ‘just loves his work’. Brigitte is a child-care nurse and bought the raffle tickets ‘for such a good cause’.

A big thanks again to Erika and Dieter, for providing the original artwork, and for Clare for securing the Ken Done limited edition print for our 2023 Christmas Raffle.
