Mosman Festival Opening Night BBQ

From PP Di who has been behind all our clubs efforts re the Mosman Festival

Hi there President James and All – last night was a massive effort to start off our participation in The Festival of Mosman’s Opening Ceremony at Balmoral, effectively for us 3pm start to a 9pm finish.
James - Thanks for organising EFTPOS, Cash Float and Ice (twice) PLUS cooking & prep work.
Dom - Thanks for preparing the new flyers, preparing table signage, collecting signage containers AND the sausages & onions, AND collecting extra bread when Coles Neutral Bay let us down. Also a big thank you for providing a much-needed tool kit!
Dave - Kennards King, collecting and returning Rotary marquee PLUS for the timely set-up AND pack-up using the GET-GO Van, including loads of canned drinks from storage at Kennards, plus collecting the bread from Coles, plus cooking the sausages and onions, plus running his own business! A real Champion!!
Mark W - Thanks for assisting in every way including cooking, while closing a deal – well done!
Ross & Therese Thanks for allowing many of us the use of your garage, PLUS assisting with everything from beginning to end to ensure our efforts ran efficiently.
Barry, Marco & Kaz - A huge thank you to the three of you for being there and helping with EFTPOS/serving drinks/cooking throughout the event plus entertainment from Kaz in between customers with his dance movements.
Ruth - Thanks for your robotic service at front desk! An amazing show of patience and strength combined with great humour and tact!
Blair - An experienced Rotarian across all skills required at a Sausage Sizzle – thanks Blair!
Richard - Thanks to you and Julie for your timely arrival to take over EFTPOS and Service of food preparation with Ruth the Robot! Greatly appreciated…PLUS washing and ironing of our Rotary aprons in readiness for Uncorked on Sunday.
Mark A - A big thank you for assisting us with BBQ gas cylinders AND assisting with the cooking!
Thanks to all those who assisted with the Set-Up and also the Pack-Up – many hands made relatively light work of it, albeit in the dark, from 8.20pm
Finally a big thank you to Treasurer Derek who kept his eye on all transactions before, during and after the event from his overseas walking adventures in South Korea – Service Above Self!!
Whilst last night’s event was not a success financially, it showed us that a group of people who would likely never have met, other than through Rotary, worked dynamically together as a team with good humour, flexibility, creativity and a focused sense on fun and purpose.
