David Kerr, a past member of the Rotary Club of Mosman, passed away last week in the Royal North Shore Hospital
David was a member from 2014-2018 during which time he and his wife Sharon made a substantial contribution to the success of our club (Sharon was an outstanding Editor of our Oozoo)
David had previously been a member of the Sydney CBD Rotary Club, having been a President and, as with Mosman, played a key role in many projects.
The highlight of David’s service with us was as Director of International Service (2015 – 2017). His professional background in senior finance and general industry roles was evident as he ensured the disciplines of project planning, due diligence, risk assessment and governance were imbedded in the projects undertaken by the team.
The International Services team under his leadership were recognised in 2016 when they won the prestigious Rotary District 9685 International Service award (team members were Charlie Barnett, Clare Stockdale, Blair Leslie, Danny Low and Halyna Koscharsky)
David was extremely capable and a person of high integrity.
Members please note that there will be a service celebrating David’s life at Christ Church, Lavendar Bay commencing at 10.30am next Monday 28thAugust. Sharon has said anyone is welcome to come along & celebrate with her & the family!?

Our Brazilian Exchange Student, Marco turns 17 on September 5th. It is also over 6 months since he arrived to spend a year with us but at the same time away from his family. In order to celebrate his birthday PP Barry is organizing a dinner on 7th September at
BahBQ Brazilian Grill, 35 Albany St, Crows Nest 2065
BAHBQ is an authentic local Brazilian steakhouse in Crows Nest on Sydney’s Lower North Shore. Inspired by a passion for authentic Brazilian food, crafted from our homeland in southern Brazil, BAHBQ is dedicated to bringing the authentic flavours of Brazil to your plate.
1. Enjoy unlimited service of traditional Brazilian cuts: a variety of fire-roasted meats, poultry, sausages, seafood, grilled halloumi cheese and spiced pineapple served from our specially designed barbecue.
2. Our churrasco items are spit roasted over natural charcoal and iron bark wood to create an intense heat of aroma and fragrance. We add dry rub seasonings, fine herbs, brines, marinades and glazes to enhance flavour and tenderness.
3. Our waiters move around the restaurant with skewers, slicing meat onto your plate. All skewers will come in no particular order, remember you can always ask for your favourites again, take your time because all of them are worth savouring.
4. We will serve a selection of traditional Brazilian side dishes and condiments that will perfectly complement your experience. They are all delicious, and you can always ask for more.
It sounds like it’s going to be a great night of fellowship. Barry is organizing details; please let Barry know if you can attend.

This October, Lifeline Northern Beaches (NB) will be hosting a free local community breakfast aimed at supporting local men’s mental well-being – You’ll Be Right Mate
The breakfast includes a lived experience speaker, an expert speaker, a panel of local mental health service representatives, and a wide variety of local men’s groups who will have stalls at the event.
The aim of the breakfast is to raise awareness of the support services available for men - from social groups, activities, peer support, to professional service providers, while also answering community questions regarding suicide prevention, and debunking the myths around suicide.
The breakfast is specifically designed for male community members, hence it would be greatly appreciated if you could please promote the FREE event throughout your networks, via both the attached flyer and the registration link: You’ll Be Right Mate
