Monday’s Speaker - Ken Robertshaw - How we survived the Mississippi River in a kayak
Ken Robertshaw some years ago set out on an expedition to kayak the length of the Mississippi River. The goal was to raise funds for a charity in the United Kingdom, The Theodora Children’s Trust, that places specialist entertainers in Children’s hospitals and hospices to cheer up ill children and assist their recovery through laughter.
The journey was not without problems. No doubt PDG Ken will be explaining how he and his team mate survived the challenge.

CHRISTMAS HAMPERS FOR ONEMEAL

Thanks to Pali, John, Derek, Halyna, James and Di for filling a combined 10 hampers for OneMeal’s Christmas Hampers appeal. These form a small part of the 3000 hampers, each containing basic foods sufficient for 11 meals, to be donated to worthy causes on the North Shore.
We may be looking for 5 teams of 2 members to fill another 4 boxes each with the estimated cost of $50-60 per hamper being covered by the club. To be considered at the next board meeting on 6th November.
